Sidney Ison Crowned Homecoming Queen; Homecoming Court Presented
Montgomery, Ala.—一道本不卡免费高清Sixteen Huntingdon College women, four from each class, were presented as members of the College’s Homecoming Court during Huntingdon’s annual Homecoming festivities, Saturday, October 5. As the court was presented, Sidney Ison, Class of 2020, of Huntsville, Alabama, was crowned Homecoming Queen.

一道本不卡免费高清Ison, the daughter of Larkin and Latarsha Ison, is a member of the women’s basketball team, earning recognition on the USA South Academic All-Conference Team and receiving the Huntingdon Department of Athletics Megan Cook Sportsmanship Award. She serves as president of the Pre-Health Club, a small group leader for Ligon Ladies, a worship leader for Campus Ministries, chaplain for the Collegiate Exchange Club, and as a Huntingdon Ambassador, Orientation Leader, and Student Recruiter. She is a member of the Student Government Association and the Student Alumni Association, and has been inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa honor society. She has been named Resident Assistant of the Year and honored with the Marion Black Cantelou Chemistry Award.
Autumn Allday, Exercise Science, Valley Grande, Alabama

She is a Huntingdon Student Recruiter, Student Government Association senator, and Orientation Leader. A member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, she has been inducted into Gamma Sigma Alpha honor society, has been named to the Dean’s List of Honors, and is part of the Huntingdon Honors Program.
Virginia Gaston, Elementary/Collaborative Special Education, Guntersville, Alabama
Gaston, the daughter of Jackie and Mary Shea Gaston, serves as president of the Huntingdon Student Government Association. She is a member of the Student Alumni Association, Athletic & Student Affairs Committee, and Alpha Omicron Pi sorority; chairs the Campus Activities Board; heads the Orientation Leader Team; and serves as a Huntingdon Ambassador and a Huntingdon Student Recruiter. She has been inducted into Order of Omega, Phi Eta Sigma, Gamma Sigma Alpha, and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies. Her academic achievement has been recognized on the Dean’s List of High Honors. She will complete her student teaching at Airport Road Intermediate School in spring 2020.
Candy Martinez, Business Administration, Jemison, Alabama
Martinez, the daughter of Maria Parra of Jemison, Ala., and Fidel Martinez of Birmingham, Ala., serves as president of the Business Club, treasurer of the Student Government Association, and as a Huntingdon Ambassador, Orientation Leader, and Resident Assistant. She is a member of the Accounting Club, Student Alumni Association, and Phi Mu sorority. Martinez has been inducted into Order of Omega, Sigma Beta Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Gamma Sigma Alpha honor societies. She interns with Warren Averett.

Lucy Burch, English and Communication Studies, Florence, Alabama

McBrien, the daughter of Clay and Frances McBrien, is a member of the Huntingdon cheerleading squad and the Student Alumni Association. She serves as a Huntingdon Ambassador and as chaplain and Panhellenic delegate for her sorority, Phi Mu. Her academic achievement has been recognized on the Dean’s List of High Honors.
Mary Stanley, Psychology, Las Vegas, Nevada
Stanley, the daughter of Jack and Stacy Stanley, is a member of the cross country team, Campus Ministries praise band, and the Student Government Association. She serves as vice president of communications for the Panhellenic Council and has served as the vice president of education, chaplain, and keeper of the ritual for her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi. A member of ROTC, she has earned the ROTC academic award. Her academic achievement has also been recognized on the Dean’s List of High honors. In the spring of 2019 she was named second runner-up in the Miss Huntingdon Pageant.
Kayley Yates, Cell Biology, Jacksonville, Texas
Yates, the daughter of Shane and Stephanie Yates, completed NSF-REU organic chemistry research at Georgia Southern University. She plays outside forward and holding midfield for the women’s soccer team, serves as a Huntingdon Ambassador and as vice president for her sorority, Chi Omega, and is a member of the Pre-Health Club and Student Government Association.

She serves as a Student Recruiter, a mentor for the Huntingdon Leadership Academy, and as co-chaplain and a member of the standards committee for her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi. She is a member of Campus Ministries and Circle K International.
